2 teens critically injured in SE Loop 410 crash, police say

SAPD: No charges will be filed; Driver found not be impaired or speeding before crash

SAN ANTONIO – Two teens suffered critical injuries after they were ejected from a car in a crash on the South Side, according to San Antonio police.

The crash was confirmed shortly before 7:45 p.m. Monday on Loop 410 West at Moursund Boulevard, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Traffic was diverted off the highway, and several lanes were blocked as emergency officials worked.

A preliminary report from SAPD said the male driver, 17, lost control of the vehicle, which then entered the grassy median.

Both the driver and a female passenger, 16, were ejected from the vehicle, police said.

The San Antonio Fire Department confirmed two people were injured in the crash.

Both teens were taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The driver was found not to be impaired or speeding before the crash, according to the SAPD.
